Create rough CAPEX estimates for the construction of brownfield chemical plants quickly and easily with ChemCost. The app determines apparatus costs (Equipment Costs) based on the current cost index and usual installation costs (installation + apparatus costs = bare module costs).
Please note that these costs can be influenced by many factors (e.g. special regulation, special processes or substances, etc.). In any case, please conduct your own review of the cost estimate. Commercial use is not intended.

SETTINGS
- Set the currently valid cost index
- Set the material factors with carbon stell = 1 as baseline

ADD COST POSITIONS TO YOUR ESTIMATION
1. Select apparatus type
2. Set apparatus name
3. Set detailed apparatus type
4. Set apparatus material
5. Set apparatus size characteristics
6. Set existing installation (e.g. when expanding the functionalities of existing systems)
7. Consider whether the set itself already exists
8. Check what is included in the bare module costs (see section included in cost position)
9. Result: Equipment Costs, Bare Module Costs & Grand Total (Total Bare Module Costs + 15 % contingency and 3 % administration)
